HOW TO WASH A WIG?
Easy tips to clean a wig.
Taking a good care of your wig is extremely important, it will extend the wig’s life and will create a healthy and natural look. Most women prefer to have more then one wig to allow time for cleaning and drying. We recommend washing your wig with a professional hairdresser if possible. If you choose to wash it yourself, please follow the following instructions:
If you wear your wig daily, we recommend washing it once every 3-4 weeks for the monofilament caps and once every 10-14 days for lace wigs.
Before washing, gently brush the wig thoroughly with a wig brush. Please make sure you start brushing the ends first and then slowly going up to the roots to prevent hair breakage.
We recommend using a salon shampoo and conditioner. In a sink or basin, add a small amount of shampoo to cold or lukewarm water. With monofilament caps please make sure you DO NOT SOAK the wig as the cap will start swelling with time.
Wear the cap on one hand and with your other hand gently shampoo the hair.
Rinse the wig gently in cold/lukewarm water until all the shampoo is removed. Rinse twice.
Gently apply conditioner ONLY ON THE ENDS and leave on for 2 minutes to allow it to penetrate the hair and rinse it until all the conditioner is removed.
Wrap the wig in a towel and gently pat out excess water.
Place the wig on a wig stand and gently brush the hair starting from THE ENDS GOING UP SECTION BY SECTION. We recommend applying a styling serum before brushing the hair to add shines and softness to the hair. Allow to air dry thoroughly DO NOT ALLOW THE WIG TO DRY IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
You can style the wig the way you want using hairdryer/straightener/curler, please make sure you do not burn the hair.
HOW TO WASH SYNTHETIC HAIR?
Same process as human hair wigs, with only difference that we DO NOT RECOMMEND USING A SHAMPOO, PLEASE USE CONDITIONER ONLY.
